Framing - 1st floor walls

We have spent the last week framing the first floor walls. It's really starting to take shape. Here's some pictures of the work we've done so far . . .

Raising the wall between the study and hall - it was getting dark, so the picture is a bit fuzzy.

Supporting our new wall - thanks for everyone who helped!

This was taken Monday - we just about completed the back two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and hall.

This is what is looked like on Friday - Now you can see the front of the house and wall between the kitchen and stairs. Also note our floor trusses - they got delivered a little early, but they look great!

Here's the house from the back corner, under the nice shade tree.

Here is Adam marking the wall layout on the top and bottom plates.

Here is the back wall - between the back porch and living room/breakfast nook.

We also worked a few hours on Saturday - but I forgot my camera. We put up some of the interior walls for the office and dining room. We are now about two-thirds done with the first floor walls! There are still a couple areas where we need to go back and fix, but we've been moving forward pretty good now. This is tough work and can take a tole on your body. We were happy it rained all afternoon Sunday and enjoyed the day off.

We will be out there a few more afternoons this week, but will be taking the weekend off. My little brother is getting married on Saturday!! So, we'll be celebrating with the family down in Orlando. We're all very excited and can't wait to welcome Amanda to the family. :) I'll try and post some more pictures of our work before we head down on Thursday.
